Performing this re-imaging operation is very simple, thanks to the new Iperius Recovery Environment®. In addition, Iperius now lets you create a recovery disk (a USB recovery drive or an ISO file) to boot the machine and restore a drive image backup to a new disk, even on different hardware. The new engine for the drive image makes it possible to create exact copies of the disks (cloning), which can also be used to virtualize physical machines (P2V) or to immediately start an image backup as a virtual machine into Hyper-V. Now Iperius has an integrated engine to create disk images and no longer needs the Windows Image Backup (wbadmin) for this backup type, even if that backup mode will remain available. With version 6.0, Iperius introduces many interesting innovations on the front of the drive image backup.
